In July 2020, the Project Management Unit (PMU) handed over all confiscated tools and equipment – chainsaws, motorbikes, hand tractors – in 2019 and 2020 to local FA offices as law enforcement operations were supported by the Tumring REDD+ Project.

The Tumring REDD+ Project also supported the Sandan forest law enforcement unit – a mobile law enforcement unit led by the Sandan district governor. During the 3rd quarter of 2020, this law enforcement unit confiscated 03 chainsaws and 01 motorbike.

In addition to the patrols conducted by the forest law enforcement units, the community forestry (CF) patrol teams regularly conducted forest patrolling activities inside their designated CF areas.
